The Pacific Area (PACAREA) External Affairs Branch provides strategic guidance and support to the PACAREA Commander, Staff and field units on governmental and public affairs matters. Through the development of positive communication, interaction and outreach, PACAREA External Affairs endeavors to advance and strengthen external relationships to promote Coast Guard strategic objectives and highlight operational successes throughout the Area of Responsibility. The PACAREA External Affairs mission posture is guided by the Coast Guard’s core values, the Commandant’s Direction, and the PACAREA Commander’s Strategic Intent.
