Commanding Officer

The Commanding Officer (CO) is Captain Corey Kerns. Captain Kerns assumed command of Storis in July 2025. As CO, Captain Kerns is responsible for the overall safety of the cutter, crew and embarked science party, as well as the successful completion of Storis' assigned missions.

Executive Officer

The Executive Officer (XO) is Commander Curt Gookin. The XO is responsible for supervising the administration of the cutter, including day-to-day shipboard scheduling, exercises, and training of personnel necessary in making Storis’ missions successful.

Operations Officer

The Operations Officer (OPS) is Lieutenant Commander Erin Sheridan. OPS oversees the long-term planning and execution of daily operations of Storis, including coordinating science mission support, information technology systems, law enforcement, and medical support.

Engineer Officer

The Engineer Officer (EO) is Lieutenant Commander George Greendyk. The EO is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the most complex power plant in operation within the Coast Guard. In addition, he provides support to shipboard scientific hardware and equipment and administers damage control programs.

First Lieutenant (Bos'n)

The First Lieutenant (1LT) is Chief Warrant Officer Holly Campbell. As the 1LT, CWO Campbell is responsible for the safety and coordination of all deck operations, science equipment deployments, and small boat operations. Storis’ 1LT is responsible for the Coast Guard’s largest afloat rigging program of nine lifting appliances.

The Supply Officer (SUPPO) is Chief Vance Hughes. As SUPPO, Chief Hughes is responsible for all logistics, supply, and support onboard Storis. This includes personnel administrative issues, procurement of supplies, and operation of the ship's galley.

Command Senior Chief

CSCS Jessica Nicholson is Storis' Collateral Duty Senior Enlisted Leader. Senior Chief Nicholson serves as a direct representative to the Command of day-to-day activities on Storis and serves as a command liaison to the Chief Petty Officer Mess.
