PSU 301 - UNIT HISTORY


Commissioned in 2005, Port Security Unit 301 (PSU 301) has supported the Coast Guard's mission in support of the National Military Strategy to maintain the security of ports and waterways in the interest of the United States and allied coalition partners. Port Security Units have the capability to deploy well-armed Transportable Port Security Boats (TPSBs) and shore side security teams in support of worldwide expeditionary warfare operations in the inshore harbor environment. PSUs operate with other Naval Expeditionary Combat Command assets, joint service security forces, and other host nation and combined forces.
