Captain Jonathan E. Musman

Captain Musman reported aboard USCGC MELLON (WHEC 717) after serving as Chief of Cutter Forces Pacific Area Command in Alameda, California.

Captain Musman has eleven years of sea duty including tours as Executive Officer USCGC BERTHOLF (WMSL 750) in Alameda, California, Commanding Officer USCGC HICKORY (WLB 212) in Homer, Alaska, Executive Officer USCGC ASPEN (WLB 208) in San Francisco, California, Executive Officer USCGC ANACAPA (WPB 1335) in Petersburg, Alaska, and Deck Watch Officer USCGC STEADFAST (WMEC 623) in Astoria, Oregon.

Captain Musman's assignments ashore include Civil Engineering Unit Juneau, Alaska, Cutter Scheduling Pacific Area in Alameda, California, Commanding Officer Enlisted Personnel Sector Los Angeles in Long Beach, California.

Captain Musman is a 1996 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy earning a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Alaska.

Captain Musman is married to Molly Musman DVM of Inverness, California and the have two sons, Daniel and Henry.
