BMC Michael G. Livingstone

Chief Boatswain's Mate Michael Livingstone is currently a Deck Watch Officer and Senior Enlisted Leader aboard USCGC Active (WMEC-618) home ported in Port Angeles, WA. He serves as the Operations and Navigation Chief, advising on department personnel matters, providing mentoring to department division officers, and maintaining navigation systems. As the Senior Enlisted Leader, Chief Livingstone is the principle enlisted advisor to the Commanding Officer and is responsible for the welfare, morale, and professional development of enlisted personnel.

BMC Livingstone is a native of Tucson, AZ. He enlisted in the Coast Guard in May of 2011. Chief Livingstone's previous assignments include First Lieutenant and Training Petty Officer, Station Chicago; Pursuit Coxswain, Station Channel Islands; Buoy Deck Supervisor, USCGC Walnut (WLB-205); Coxswain, Station Channel Islands. BMC Livingstone's personal awards include a Commendation Medal, two Achievement Medals, four Commandant's Letter of Commendations, Expert Rifle and Expert Pistol Medals along with various service, unit, and team awards. He wears the permanent Advanced Boat Forces, Cutterman and Coxswain Insignia. He is certified for command in all four mission specialties. 

Chief Livingstone is a proud graduate of Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 307 and holds his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona. He completed Chief's Call to Initiation in Spring of 2024.

Chief Livingstone lives in Port Angeles with his cat, Natti. He is married to Renee Rogers of Tucson, AZ and loving stepfather to William (9). He travels to Tucson often to visit.
