Lieutenant Commander Anthony Orr

Lieutenant Commander Anthony Orr hails from Bullion, France, and currently serves as the Executive Officer of USCGC Active (WMEC-618), homeported in Port Angeles, Washington. He is responsible for the cutter's personnel readiness, administration, training, and material condition.

LCDR Orr graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2015, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Environmental Sciences. His first assignment was
aboard USCGC Waesche (WMSL-751) in Alameda, California, where he served as a Deck Watch Officer.

He then reported to USCGC Douglas Munro (WHEC-724) in Kodiak, Alaska, serving first as Weapons Officer, and subsequently as Operations Officer and Navigator, conducting operations across the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands.

In 2019, he assumed command of USCGC Joseph Tezanos (WPC-1118) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, leading the cutter through extensive search and rescue, migrant interdiction, and counter-narcotics patrols throughout the Caribbean region.

Ashore, LCDR Orr served at Coast Guard Southwest District (formerly known as District Eleven) as a Law Enforcement Duty Officer and later in the Eastern Pacific Section. He coordinated with Joint Interagency Task Force–South (JIATF-S) to support counter-drug interdictions with Coast Guard, Department of Defense, Allied, and Partner-Nation forces.
