District Eleven Response (dr)
Recreational Boating Safety Program

The Recreational Boating mission of the U. S. Coast Guard is to minimize the loss of life, personal injury, property damage, and environmental impact associated with the use of recreational boats, through preventive means, in order to maximize safe use and enjoyment of U. S. waterways by the public.

Four basic Goals have been articulated to support this mission.

  1. Improve the demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors of boaters.
  2. Improve the safety of boats and their associated equipment.
  3. Improve the physical and operational boating environment.
  4. Improve interagency cooperation, coordination, and assistance.

The District Eleven's area of responsibility includes the states of Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.  There are currently over 1.8 million registered boats within the district.  If you live or boat within these states, this page is to help you.
